I think the reason I love libraries and seeing pictures of libraries and books is a crazy, constant, romantic notion that someday I’ll have time to sit there and read them all.

Guilty! But it’s funnier when I’m on someone else’s computer and type t and then hit enter expecting the autocomplete. I wonder how many people besides me end up conducting a Google search for [t].

Ten of Nothing
Each time the first of the month rolls around I start thinking of cool things I could do in that every-day-for-a-month attitude. But I end up with scattered bits of stuff. I have one day of little sketches, one day of 750 words, some days that have photos attached to them, and a couple of scenes for a story I want to start…

Adult fantasy author Lev Grossman on fan fiction... →
austinkleon:
Love what he says about fan fiction:
[Fan fiction] challenges just about everything we thought we knew about art and creativity…I adore the way fan fiction writers engage with and critique source texts, but manipulating them and breaking their rules.”Some of it is straight-up homage, but a lot of [fan fiction] is really aggressive towards the source text. One tends to think of it as...

Occasionally, Pandora will totally read my mind. This was the exact song that I was hearing in my head when I made a new station seeded with Dieselboy, and it was the first song that played.
Creepy, Pandora.

A Tumblr Song (Original) -
I know a place where all the cool kids play. Mean Girls, yummy foods, and fashion shots all day. When trying to avoid the things that I should do.
I scroll and see the people that I wish I knew. Mr. Hipster, girls in tights. Cats, and tatts, and civil rights. Photoshopped words, on a hill or tree. Read and think, “That applies to me!”

This episode is called Fanboyz.
The entire LXD series is amazing, and a lot of the episodes have sparse dialog. I think my favorite line of dialog this episode has got to be
“I’ll shoot it!” flip
I think it’s that go do it attitude that I really like.
